About Me

I have always geeked out over technology but been equally fascinated by people’s behavior. Focusing my education in Business Administration on both Psychology and Computer Information Systems, my interests have directed me in designing and improving user experiences. Recently, I completed a Masters in Human Centered Design & Engineering from the University of Washington, specializing in User Centered Design.  This brings me in touch with others who are interested in the latest trends of information design, information architecture, content strategy, visual communication, and user experience… and I love it!

My strength in user-centered design is my ability to balance big picture thinking with creating empathetic and practical solutions that fit into the user’s environment and lifestyle. I love to have fun by adapting and engaging users in every step of the process, from testing to training. I have assisted in designing the interactions people have with sites and applications for clients such as Microsoft, T-Mobile, Wunderman, Gogobeans, Therapeutic Associates Inc, University of Washington, and BECU, just to name a few.

Born and raised in Detroit, I now live and work in Seattle.  I spend a lot of time making pretty pictures, volunteering for several organizations that support social justice, creating art and music, and playing the role of derby widow for my partner, who is the captain of DLF for the Rat City Rollergirls.
